Diplomats raised millions for Czech charities

The annual International Christmas Festival, organized in November 2015 by Diplomatic Spouses Association, raised 2.85 million CZK for Czech charities by selling entry tickets, goods from all over the world at the stalls or at internet auctions and from private or corporate donations. 34 Czech organizations such as NGO's in the field of social work, education, elderly care and rehabilitation were among the recipients of donations.

Mr. Hynek Kmoníček, Director of the Foreign Department of the Presidential Office, members of diplomatic corps and representatives of 34 charities were present at the Grand Award Ceremony held at Palace Žofín, 2. 5. 2016. Ceremony was opened by the International Women´s Choir.
