Flag Day of Finnish Defence Forces was celebrated in Ambassador's residence
Defence Attachés in Prague gathered on 3 June in Ambassador Helena Tuuri's residence to celebrate the Flag Day of Finnish Defence Forces (4 June). The reception was also a farewell party for Finland's Defence Attaché in the Czech Republic Lt.Col. Kimmo Tarvainen. His successor, Lt. Col. L. Niclas von Bonsdorff will take his position as of 1 August. Based in Berlin, he will act as Finland's Defence Attaché in the Czech Republic and as a Deputy Attaché in Germany. Embassy of Finland in Prague would like to thank Kimmo for fruitful cooperation and wish him all the best in the future!
Short greeting words by the Ambassador Tuuri were followed by a farewell speech by Lt.Col. Tarvainen.

The Flag Day of the Finnish Defence Forces is the birthday of Finnish Marshal Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim (4 June 1867- 27 January 1951).
