The Finnish company Ruukki recently celebrated 20 years of operation in the Czech Republic. To commemorate the celebration, the company planted 50 trees in the village of Jeneč close to Prague on November 8. The guests that attended the companys celebration on September 22nd, including the Ambassador of Finland Mrs. Helena Tuuri, got a tree named after them.
The area around Jeneč suffers from dust caused by heavy traffic and noise pollution. The trees, as they grow, will offer some aid to this problem by catching the dust and lowering the noise.
