The promotion of trade and economic contacts between Finland and the Czech Republic is one of the principal duties of the Finnish Embassy in Prague.
The Ambassador and his deputy are prepared to devote much of their time to assisting companies build commercial relationships especially when their activities call for the establishment of high-level contacts with the public authorities (e.g. at ministerial level), or whenever barriers to trade might be suspected.
The Ambassador with his staff are prepared to arrange consultation or guidance in the office premises concerning the aforementioned matters or, for instance, evaluative discussions related to eventual major investments. As required, the Embassy may also contribute to building direct contacts between Finnish companies and clients in the host country.
Mr Sami Humala is both Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy and Head of Finpro's Trade Center in Prague. Finpro is an expert and service organisation promoting Finnish exports and internationalisation.
The Trade Center provides information free of charge on e.g. export and import opportunities in Finland and in the Czech Republic. On request and subject to a charge, more detailed market research can be carried out or companies can be assisted to prepare investment projects related to their internationalisation.
